As a tie-in to the film, Pat Mills wrote a three-part strip where Hammerstein and Dredd crossed paths, retconning that Hammerstein had been part of President Booth's robot army at the Battle of Armaggedon this was later undone by Mills' ABC Warriors: The Volgan War, placing that war in 2083 and outside of Dredd continuity.
